Delhi Police Constable Recruitment is conducted through a three-stage selection process. Candidates with a minimum cut-off in Computer-based are considered for PET & PMT shortlisting process. PET & PMT is a qualifying based round in which candidates need to qualify certain Physical standards as per criteria.

Delhi Police syllabus and question paper will be set as per Matriculation Level. The computer-based examination is conducted in English and Hindi language only. Candidates are advised to stay updated about the announcement of recruitment. The official Delhi Police portal and SSC provides regular notification of recruitment and vacancies.

Delhi Police Constable Recruitment Selection Process 2022

Candidates need to clear all stages of the selection process to be selected in the final list. The selection procedure of Delhi Police Constable Recruitment consists of three stages.

Three Stages of the selection process are:

  1. Computer-Based Examination
  2. Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT)
  3. Medical Standard

Stage 1: Computer Based Examination

  • Candidates need to have a minimum cut-off in Computer Based Examination.
  • The computer-based examination is conducted by SSC.
  • The question paper consists of 100 questions with 100 marks.
  • The paper needs to be completed within 90 minutes.
  • Candidates will be shortlisted for the next stage based on merit secured in the Computer Based Exam.
  • Delhi Police will declare a list of candidates shortlisted for the Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT).

Physical Measurement Test for Male candidates

  • PMT test is for candidates who have qualified Physical Endurance Test.
  • For Male candidates:
    • Height: Minimum 170 cm
    • Chest: 81 cm
  • For Female Candidates:
    • Height: Minimum 157 cm

Stage 3: Medical Standard

  • Candidates must have sound health.
  • Candidates must be free from defect/ deformity/ disease.
  • Must be free from color blindness, and without wearing glasses or surgery for improving visual acuity.
  • Candidates must have 6/12 Vision in both eyes without glasses.
  • Tattoos on various body parts are permissible, if:
    • Size is less than ¼ on Elbow or Hand.
    • Religious symbol or figure and the name

Stage 4: Document Verification:

Candidates after qualifying PET & PMT are required to verify documents on the scheduled dates. Candidates need to submit 2 Passport size color Photographs and one Valid Photo ID Proof. The other list of documents required for document verification are:

Delhi Police Constable Post’s starting salary as per the Revised 7th Pay Commission Pay Scale is INR 21700. The salary pay scale range of the post is INR INR. 69100. The salary consists of other allowances which are calculated and added upon Basic Pay i.e INR 21700.
